The Waveroad website is actually a collection websites that are spread over a number of Plone sites.  This is to permit customizations on a specific site to not affect another. 

In addition, the Plone sites are divided into three Zope Instances.   This permits one  Zope instance to be "bounced" without affecting others.  It also limits database corruptions to a particular group of sites, not all of them.
